Late Night Cheeky Clothes Order

Well, it's a Saturday night and I'm still up and feeling a bit like an OAP at the moment since my mid to lower back, to the side more so than the whole of the back, has been very painful since late this morning. I've been in excruciating pain :( Took some painkillers a short while ago though so I'm hoping it will allow me to sleep.

Well, what better way to cheer me up but to browse online and order some new clothes and accessories (on my new credit card, too :o)! :)

This time I went for a favourite of mine, www.katesclothing.co.uk. After browsing on some of my other favourite online retailers, including www.attitudeclothing.co.uk, I went for Kate's in the end, since they had a greater number of items I liked and wanted (...and, yes, needed :p) and they were all also in the SALE too!

I bought a few mini skirts, a bracelet and a bag and will review and give my verdict some time after they have arrived and I've inspected and worn them.

A red brocade dress I ordered a few nights ago, for a wedding next month, arrived today and I have to say it is very pretty:

I ordered it from yet another favourite online site, www.the_gothic_shop.co.uk, who always, like Kate's and Attitude Clothing, deliver super fast. The Gothic Shop send small sweet packs too, which is awfully nice of them but because I do not eat sweets, I shall be giving mine away ;) I think I will be teaming the dress up with one of my two pairs of Vivienne Westwood shoes, either will suit the dress, I think.

A quiet weekend this time after a long busy week and a nice meal and cinema on Friday night but I'm content with this as I need to sleep and rest! I did plan on going to do some roller skating tomorrow but with my back giving me this pain, I highly doubt I will be able to :(

I do hope it still doesn't hurt by next Saturday however, as I'm going to see My Ruin and plan to be enjoying myself rocking out to some hardcore metal scream queen songs (whilst standing up)!

Queen of Darkness

I just wanted to praise the German brand Queen of Darkness, which I have been buying from for years; there used to be a store in Camden, however, sadly, they shut down for some reason and now I just order from the site: http://www.queen-of-darkness.com/

All the items I have ever bought are generally excellent lasting quality and a great fit. My latest favourite item I bought a few months ago, last year, but have only started started wearing recently as it's finally colder (yay!) and my verdict is...I LOVE it!

Ja1-243111

It feels so comfy, keeps me warm, looks great over slimmer fitting long
tees or other light knitted cotton tops underneath, easy to pull on and take off and just very, very handy. Love it! A bit like wearing a hug too in a way :) Definitely a best buy!

I also bought two more items with this in my last order, a jacket and a skull sweater top. I've only worn the jacket once for about an hour only so far but plan to wear it tomorrow so will give my verdict about it at some point.

Happy New Year by the way! A pic of me on NYE (either before or after much head banging and some drinking ;) :

Maybe I'll discuss my New Year's Resolutions another time...:p

Ask A Mortician!

I think these informative little vids are quite amusing :) I've provided the first two Episode links, the rest (two more as far as I can see) are easy to find links to on the right hand links.

Christmas Nails

While on the topic of Christmas, here's a pic of my Christmas nails over the last festive week, I did them on Christmas Eve and they still seem in tact.

Nailsxmas
I used a clear hardener as a base coat, then used Barry M red glitter and a darker deep red shade (can't remember brand name at this time) alternatingly and painted over them with a matt top coat. I then used black and white nail art pens to draw on snowflakes.

Post Christmas Sales

So I hit the sales today at Bluewater shopping centre and picked up a few bargains, as well as not so bargains, but I love the lot :) It was also nice to get out a bit and stretch the legs, since I've been staying at my parents' since Christmas Eve and we've been indoors eating, drinking, watching TV/DVDs!

Ever since I have been 16/17, I have worn mostly black with some purple, grey and the odd appearance of white or ivory every so often and have maintained a mostly black wardrobe since. However, due to being a red head again since August, (as well as ending a very stressful and emotionally turbulent relationship in June) I seem to have acquired a bit of a taste for some colour here and there, much to the shock but pleasure of those around me and particularly love to co ordinate and accessorize with the colour red to match my hair, which I love doing and it also seems to be developing my confidence as well as adding some variety in my life and outlook. So, lately, when out shopping in stores or shopping online, I tend to look out for some red imbued items as well as the usual black, grey and (some) purple.

Here's what I found today: Two plain fitted sweater tops, one black, one grey from Mango, £14 each, will be very useful for work; a cute black dress with white polka spots and ruffled short sleeves from Vera Moda for £22 (in a size 10! am usually a size 12 but have lost weight recently due to following a nutrition food plan); a bright red 'Keep Calm and Carry on' bag for £12, which is my adopted motto and will be useful for carrying extra stuff to work - but my favourite purchase today, even with only 10% off was from Desigual, a lovely and pretty viscose black and red dress with velvet tie belt, for £75.60 (www.desigual.com) :

I absolutely love it and look forward to wearing it very soon :)

All in all, a good day's shopping.

Blowing off cobwebs

I'd forgotten this blog existed.

Just blowing some cobwebs off and will revisit and try to get it going soon.

A little more info on this blog that I could not fit in to the profile box -

Other than some close friends, I don't feel that most of my other friends would want to read about my writings about clothes & stuff I buy/love on my other online profiles (e.g. Facebook) and I love writing every now and then (but don't have time to write fiction) so I thought I'd create this blog in order to write about some of the little passions in my life til my heart's content, where some may listen and some may even interact and respond. Please feel free to join me if you are like-minded and share my interests.
